My buggy has an authentic UK built shell ( no 34) built on a 1971 floorpan bought from Keith Calder as a quite superb buggy. ( see Dec 2003 Botm )
Then spent a small fortune on the following modifications 1641 cc engine, straight cut cam gears
twin Weber 34 carbs. Meyers sidewinder ceramic exhaust, which sounds awesome ! new fuel tank up front with Mocal aero-cap. Hurst shifter & white gear knob , Mooneyes matching white wheel. USA supplied windwings, fully carpeted.
Then a major decision to make it just a little different from other Manx's and definetly make it " Ernie's buggy " so I came up with my own design and manufactured a parcel shelf which incorporates a JVC CD player & Sony speakers, beetle antenna luggage rack and a very useful lockable storage compartment which were professionally trimmed ( including new seats ) making a dream come true. !!!!!!!!
thanks for looking and sorry about my grandson getting in on the act !!!! his buggy will be in next months line up with a bit of luck
regards Ernie
