Here are a few pictures of our buggy which we completed in March this year. It was originally a beetle which we stripped down to the chasis and re-built it from there. The body is a British made long wheel-base Volksrod. The engine is a 1776 cc with an engle 110, scat 12lb flywheel, dual DRLA 40, chromoly pushrods, bolt-up rockers, ceramic header, full flow - basically the whole nine yards. The car also has a full stainless steel rollover bar, three piece split rim wheels, autometer gauges and Gene Berg shifter.
With the exception of a few bits the whole project was completed by ourselves with no other experience of buggy building. Our last piece for the car was the wind shield which is cropped plexyglass in smoke grey which we think makes our buggy look very different from many others.
