This is my 1970 Manx II, number 260. I found it May 2002 in a junk yard where I was told it had been for the last 15 years. I couldn't believe I had lucked upon it! The body was in pretty good shape, but the engine was missing, the trans was broken and the chassis was a mess. The chassis was replaced with a 1970 IRS. I built a 1776cc engine with dual Kadrons, lightened flywheel, upgraded cam, heads and crank. Disc brakes help it stop. The interior is fitted with VDO gauges (oil pressure, amp, fuel, electronic speedometer and tach), Beard seats and marine grade carpet. Rather than a rear seat, I built a "trunk" for mounting the speakers, storing the battery and carrying the odds and ends to the beach. The body is painted a Mazda RX7 Competition Pearl Yellow (tri-coat). It's lots of fun to drive. Kids love it - just their size. Thanks for creating such a fun vehicle!
