Recently I finished my second dune buggy. I couldn't find an original Manx, but found one that had decent looking lines. The pan was in bad shape, so I found a donor 1965 bug to shorten, strip and paint. I cut and installed adjusters to raise the front suspension, and a bus transmission with gear reduction boxes to bring up the rear. A 1600cc dualport engine works well for now, but I have the parts to build a 1776. I learned to work with fiberglass and a tubing bender on this buggy and painted it in my garage. My family and I enjoy driving it spring, summer and fall.
