T. Shook
I purchased the buggy 3 years ago from a junk yard in S.C.
Bought a 1968 beetle, stripped the body from the pan,cut the
pan , you know, the hole 9 yards worth of work and modification
it takes to recreate a buggy from its deep dark past. Had
the paintwork done by a local paint shop ( Scott Chesnee)
and the engine work perfomed by another local shop ( David
Lackey). The motor is a 1600 DP, slightly modified with dual
Kadron carbs, mild Cam, Hot ignition, etc. It turns a lot of
heads every time I take it out, and it sounds like a Harley
D with drag pipes. I gotta say, I really Love my buggy!!!
