I have had Off-road Vehicles for many years now and still haven't found any that come close to a Meyers Manx. My current Manx is an original Australian Meyer Manx which I did a rebuild on at Christmas time. It now sits on a custom made floor pan with IRS and Ball Joint running gear . Up front is a type 181 front end to get extra clearance and in the rear is a type 2 Transmission and Porsche stub axle to level it out. Power is taken care of by a fresh 2020cc Type 1 Engine built on a new AL case. It is feed by a set of 44 IDF Weber. 4 Wheel disc brakes take care of stopping duties. Inside is a set of sports seats and a full VDO dash to keep an eye on things. I have used it off-road a bit and have some great off-road trip planned with the Australian Manx Club (www.manxclub.org ). Judging by the amount of grunt the new engine makes and the gearing of the type 2 transmission it should be able to go just about anywhere I need it to. Buggy's Rule !!!!!
