John Hoover
Myerstown, PA # 1296
This is my entry for buggy of the month. I acquired it January
2 2000. It was in pretty bad shape. The pan was shot and the
VIN # was torched out of it and a new one stamped into bondo.
I scraped the pan and took a Berrien buggy 2" square tube
frame with an IRS/ BJ configuration. The body is an original
MANX II # 1193. The gel coat was in good shape except where
it was hit in the front. I repaired the damage and painted
it neon blue. I tried to keep it simple and original. The
engine is a 1641 with duel 40 Dellorto carburetors. I t will
never be a real show winner. I drive it too much. Not that
it doesn't turn enough heads it has a 1930 vintage oogah horn
to give it that extra kick. I want a Manxter next.

considering my buggy for the buggy of the month.
